The council has officially approved the installation of a permanent crossing patrol for Crestwood Park Primary School. It is a relief to know that our children will finally have the protections they deserve while traveling to school. We must remain attentive to ensure the implementation proceeds according to the plan.

It is a fast road and I find it difficult to cross with two young boys. I can't see myself trusting them to walk to school on there own when they are old enough.
It's not just a problem with parking but the way cars, vans, ect speed up and down lapwood avenue. Something needs to be done about this sooner rather than later, but before its too late xx hope Marcus has a quick recovery xx
This should be viewed as a warning, it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt trying to cross the road. One side should have double yellow lines to stop parking on both sides.

I agree completely. The speed of some of the cars that go down Lapwood Avenue is far too fast and is a hazard for pupils and parents. Also the way some cars park at the beginning and end of school is terrible and sometimes you have have to be half way across the road before you can see clearly whether it is safe to cross.
The local council needs to act on this as its just time before a child is hurt.

Cars need to be slowed down on this road to make children safe. I was trying to cross this road with my children the other day and a car went flying past, he must have been doing 50-60MPH!
