Please show your support for the CRAAs no cost to taxpayers tree planting initiative by signing this petition. Pease refer to the image below to see a sample of the difference this program has made so far. The city of Brampton has told them to stop planting trees lets show the city we want this program to continue.
Seeing the momentum grow around these trees leaves me honestly stunned. This groundswell of care for our riverbank is entirely thanks to your passion instead of anything I did.

we need trees. It's realistic. We've put hard work into plantings and made a difference. We've reduced the water temperature and made the environment more hospitable to its natural guests: fish. Don't ruin it!

You got to protect those riparian zones on a trout river. It is just common sense ecologicaly and economically.

Why would the City of Brampton not want volunteers to help?
Isn't the City of Brampton known as the city of flowers? Wouldn't you want the Credit to beautiful to complement it?

This needs to continue. The volunteers with the CRAA have done an awesome Jon this past 15 years. Let them keep up the great work for another 15. I'm a resident and tax payer of Brampton and I stand firm with this issue and my opinion.

Streambank trees help keep the water temps cool in summer and this reduces toxic algae growth. Streambank tree planting strengthens the banks and reduces erosion during high water events.

As an original founding member and first VP of CRAA I am outraged that the City of Brampton has asked CRAA to stop planting trees along the Credit. Tree planting is one of the easiest and most effective environmental restoration activities with a diverse range of environmental benefits from erosion control, bank/shoreline stabilization, lowering water & air temperature, carbon sequestration, and wildlife & aquatic habitat creation to name a few. Shame on you Brampton!
