Not only do the trees benefit the river by providing cooling shade and helping to reduce the soil washed into the river, they are natural CO2 scrubbers providing mankind with fresh clean O2 as a byproduct of their respiration. What possible reason Brampton might have to desire the cessation of the planting project is beyond me. Please make sure the planting initiative continues.

we need trees. It's realistic. We've put hard work into plantings and made a difference. We've reduced the water temperature and made the environment more hospitable to its natural guests: fish. Don't ruin it!

trees help lower the overal temperature of the river. If these people dont recognize this, maybe its time you read a scholastic journal on ambient river temperatures. You already messed up with inproper drainage practices, lets not mess this up!!!
