We, the undersigned, petition the City Council of Stoughton, WI to petition the WI legislature to repeal the concealed carry law or to amend the law to enable the city to ban weapons from all land owned or leased by the city.
Furthermore we petition the Council to establish a "Weapons Free Safe Community" program to encourage all businesses and employers to properly post all buildings and property as weapons free areas to protect the members of our community.

I have finalized a formal request for a meeting with the City Council to discuss the implementation of the proposed weapons policy. Drafts of the safety program guidelines for local business owners are currently under review by legal counsel.

The scale of this response has reached the threshold required to request a formal meeting with the Stoughton City Council members. My focus is now on drafting the official presentation of these objectives for their upcoming legislative agenda.

YES. make our stores and public spaces safe again
Ridiculous that the city cant even decide who brings weapons on city property. give control back to the local level.

Stoughton should be a place where I dont have to worry about people carrying guns into the park while my kids are playing. just keep it safe.
