I have been staring at my screen for hours because the stories people are posting under this petition are just gutting but also so vital to read. It feels like the silence from the people actually tasked with drafting these laws is getting louder by the day, and honestly it makes me want to start writing letters physically instead of just hoping for a digital response.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam but here we are and it is terrifying and exhilarating all at once. People are finally talking about this stuff again and that makes me feel like maybe we are actually getting somewhere even though the news cycle moves so fast and I find myself checking my phone every five minutes to see what else has been said.
