We, the residents of Countryside @ Saucon, petition the Home Owners Association & Board Members to address the bird nesting issues on the stone façade townhomes.

The nesting brings an abundance of bird feces splattered on and behind shutters, on windows and homes, entryways, driveways and sidewalks, as well as vehicles year after year. This creates an unhealthy condition, it is also an eyesore on our homes and community.

The Home Owners Association & Board Members have taken the approach that this is an individual homeowner issue and they have no responsibility. Because of that, residents have been forced to independently address the problem. The HOA responded by issuing fines and/or violations to those residents.

While the nesting is happening on stone front homes, this issue impacts the health and well being of the community as a whole. The same action should be taken to address this issue just as the HOA & Board Members addressed the rodent infestation to benefit the entire community.

We demand that the Home Owners Association & Board Members take responsibility for correcting this issue and dismiss any and all fines and/or violations associated with this issue.

To better understand the serious health risks nesting birds pose to all residents, please take a moment to read this article: https://www.rentokil.ie/blog/how-can-birds-make-yo...

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many neighbors have stepped forward to say this is a problem worth fixing. This whole effort is only happening because you decided to speak up about our shared living space.

4556 ParCourt; We support and welcome this initiative . This is our secondary residence. We live in France and we are unable to address the cleaning of the bird feces from far away.

4027 Clubhouse Ct Nesting also forces the shutters to dislodge and fall on stone faced homes.

This is wonderful. I have lived here for 12 years and have tried everything possible to get rid of the birds and they just come back. I have complained to the HOA and was told it’s my problem. I asked if I could remove the tree in my yard or the shutters and was told no. We are tired of the mess. I truly hope this works and appreciate the efforts of the community! Thank you! Jill Smale.

This is definitely an ongoing problem for years now. It needs to be addressed.

Hello Mr. Cassard, I am Hyun-Tae, the owner of 4568 Par Ct. I have been testing several ways to take care of the bird issue. If you want, I'd like to share them with you. If you are interested, please send me an email. [email protected]

I accidentally pressed the enter key. Anyway, I strongly support this petition. This year I decided to try another (easy and cheap) fix. I have installed stainless bird spikes behind the shutters (no direct harm to birds, but hard to build a next on top of the spikes). So far so good. I don't see many birds around (with no nest for a week). But, birds might come back. We will see. If you have ever tried spikes, please share your experience with me. [email protected]

We could pay our HOA fees into escrow until they respond with an organized plan to solve this ongoing issue.
