We have applied for planning permission to install and run a two pylon, straight line cable park at Cosmeston Lakes Country Park in South Wales. The application can be viewed online at
http://vogonline.planning-register.co.uk/PlaRecord...

We are looking to raise support for the proposal to demonstrate how popular the wake park will be in bringing a new and exciting sport to the area, helping to keep participants of all ages fit and active and to help increase tourism.

If you are in support of the proposal please help by signing our petition. We will present the petition to the council in support of our application.

Many thanks,

Gareth and the team

This would be a great addition to Cardiffs range of activities and day trips. Next weekend we are travelling down to Pembrokeshire to go Wakeboarding, would have been great to save the fuel and time if we had something more local.

Two tower cables at similar sites have proven to be quiet and unintrusive. The wakeboarders use the cable one at a time and only enter/ exit the water at one location, so there is no disturbance to wildlife on the shore away from the small dock. The introduction of cable wakeboarding at this location would increase the diversity of visitors to the lakes and expand the wakeboarders appreciation of natural beauty of the area.

A long time overdue, its a great way to get access to the water without a boat. Great for kids & students with low budget. Lets face it not everyone likes kicking balls around a field.

A fantastic way to get fit and healthy while having fun. I grew up with one of these by me and would love the same opportunity for my children

I currently have to drive to either Devon or the Cotswolds to wakeboard. This would boost the local economy and give families some worthwhile time on the water. Caroline, Bristol

A brilliant way of lowering carbon emissions by not having to run the boat. Eco friendly
