Rhos Point Sea Sports Centre is situated right next to Rhos Point
harbour on marine drive Rhos Point Colwyn Bay and the whole area is in
need of an update. Rhos point tackle and bait have been at this address
for over 30 years and over the last few years have grown to include
Kayak North Wales a Kayak hire, sales, and tuition centre. Rhos Point
tackle and bait, a sea fishing tackle and bait supply shop, (the
original business) and Pathfinder Sea Fishing Ltd, a sea fishing
charter boat business (part of the original business). Conwy counil are
now seeking planning and funding or so their employee tells me. But the
problem we are now seeing is that when this redevelopment goes through
all of this area will be flattened and new buildings erected BUT Conwy
council will not guarantee that the businesses who are already
established will be included in the new development and these
businesses are a big part of the tourist attraction to Rhos On Sea
village plus people travel many miles as well as our locals to use the
tackle shop for their sea fishing needs...
So we need to show Conwy county council and the local Councillors that
Rhos Point Sea Sports Centre is a required asset to Rhos On Sea. So
please sign our petition. If you would like anymore info please call me
on 07719556092. Thanks for you time. Paul
Only reason I visit Rhos is because of the tackle shop. If it goes will carry on A55 straight past .

I have often wondered what the councils agenda is re Colwyn Bay promenade/ sea front, fishing is getting pushed further and further away from the local amenities, and to fish the night tides and stay over you are pushed well out of town, please don't lose the one thing that brings me back there the fantastic tackle and bait shop at Rhos point.

This shop must not be allowed to close down. People from all over the country come to this shop to buy bait, and go out fishing on his boats. People from the midland and other areas get the opportunity to go out to sea on a boat and fish, it also brings much revenue to the town. .We have enough shops closing down due to the lack of customers why shut down a happy business. Conwy think again.

We have run the Bryn Holcombe Hotel in Colwyn Bay for over 30 years, and we know how important it is to visitors to Rhos on sea and Colwyn Bay to have facilities such as Rhos Point Sea Sports Centre.
The centre will compliment the new Porth Eirias, making the Bay of Colwyn a true watersports centre.
Paul has worked hard to build up his businesses at Rhos Point and deserves support not closure

We need the fishing shop. How can they take someone's business, and lively hood off these hard working people.
