The Department of Highways has confirmed that the installation of a traffic light at the Corridor G and Brounland Road intersection is officially approved. We will continue to monitor the construction timeline to ensure the work begins as promised.

Numerous people have died or have been injured at this horribly dangerous intersection. We are petitioning the WV Dept. of Highways and our elected officials to hear our voice in preventing more accidents and lives taken on this road.

We have reached one hundred signatures which provides the necessary leverage to formally request a meeting with the district engineer. I am currently drafting a letter to the West Virginia Department of Highways to present these results and demand a safety assessment of the intersection.

Too many accidents happen here. There school buses full of children that cross here everyday. There a lot of new housing and businesses in the area which means traffic has increased greatly. Save a life.... put up some Lights!!!!!!!
My nephew was almost killed at this intersection Months in the hospital Months of rehab. Everyone knows him as Beev. Or Jr. A light is desperately needed at this intersection. School Buses also cross this intersection
My wife recently was involved in a car wreck at this intersection because of someone pulling out without looking at all the incoming traffic. I am very thankful no one was seriously injured because second could have left either one of them very seriously injured
Too many people pull out in front of cars and they have no idea how fast they are traveling. And some travel at 70+ on 119. It needs to be a stoplight with a NO TURN ON RED!
My grandma Delores Graley passed away on 3/14/2018 at this intersection. There needs to be a light here. Tho it was her fault and she passed away do to this, others could have been hurt. There needs to be a light there.
My niece now has TBI caused at this intersection. Her boyfriend unfortunately didn’t make it.
I was raised in Alum Creek and a stop light on the corridor on Both sides of the intersection would be very beneficial and it may have saved several lives if it had been done several years ago like when it was first being built but the suggestion seemed to have fallen on deaf ears since it wasn’t done and lives have been lost and injuries have occurred. PLEASE RETHINK THIS AND INSTALL TRAFFIC LIGHTS AT THE INTERSECTION(S).....

I live here, & use this intersection. Traffic far exceeds the posted speed limit, & it is dangerous to pull out into 119. A traffic light would greatly reduce the number of accidents, & provide a safe entry to 119.
