They actually listened and are putting in the new signs plus the traffic calming stuff we kept asking for so I guess some things really do change when you push hard enough. I am honestly just buzzing right now because it felt like such an uphill struggle for so long …
After a near miss at Cononley lane End, I, a log with many others have decided it is now time for those in charge to take responsibility and make the road safer for both drivers, passengers and pedestrians.
I was just out there again watching cars swerve around that corner and it honestly makes my stomach turn thinking about how easily someone could get hurt. I have been trying to get a straight answer from the council folks but they just keep passing me around to different departments like I have all day to sit on hold.

I really thought this might just be me shouting into the void about that corner but seeing so many of you jump on board has totally changed my perspective. It feels like we actually have a shot at fixing this mess now that there are enough of us pointing out how dangerous it is to even drive through there.

Its ridiculous that nothing has been done aout this treacherous junction. If it was in one of the big cities they would have spent millions improving it. How many more will die needlessly.

How many more lives have to be lost on this deadly corner for something to be done?

I should have an Uncle alive and possibly more cousins but he was killed here aged 17 and so sadly I never got to meet him. My Dad was robbed of a brother and my Grandma of a son - she never got over it. This happened in the 1960's and we're still petitioning for something to happen!
