The Connecticut tattoo industry is currently controlled only by the Connecticut health department due to the new licensing that went into effect January 2015.

Ct tattoo artists are now paying with their fees to be governed by people outside the tattoo community..... meaning we, the actual tattooers, have NO say in our regulations. By introducing a board for professional tattoo artists, we will work along side the ct health department to help keep our craft sacred and safe. This will help any further issues such as tattoo schools, and misinformed new regulations imposed by those NOT in our industry.

The signatures collected on this petition will be presented to the right government officials to show that we, the tattooers of Connecticut, stand together ready and willing for this change.
