As a professional tattoo artist of several years, I find this highly disrespectful to our craft and culture. I have bled and slaved myself to be where i am, so this "school" spits on all the years of ambitious sacrifice.

Tattoo school sounds rediculous. Imagine not having an apprenticeship in construction. Imagine that you just learn for 2 weeks to a monthly and then instantly start on big projects. Sounds pretty crazy, like in construction, theres alot to learn in tattooing that cannot be taught within a month.

Licensing was forced upon CT tattooers by individuals with little knowledge of tattooing and those same people are now letting unlicensed individuals perform tattoos with next to no training and minimal supervision. How is this justified ? Where are my hard earned dollars going ?

It's because we are trying to do things legally and by showing that the licensed artists are standing as one we will be able to actually make moves forward. Trust me I wish anyone could sign. We would have reached our goal soooo fast. I love and appreciate all the love on this cause by those who tattoo, don't tattoo, just love tattoos or just those who believe an industry should always be voiced by the people within.
