We are trying to get the City of Sultan WA to allow tattoo parlors/businesses within the city limits along Highway 2. Any other business has the right to put their establishment along Highway 2 but currently there is a" no tattoo parlor ordinance" that won't allow tattoo parlors within 400 ft. of Highway 2. I am trying to open a shop and I want to be allowed the same rights as any other establishment in the city. Please sign the petition. I already have lost one ideal space for my business because of this ordinance. I am not being allowed the same rights to pay for my house, my bills, or to help feed my family. Is this right? I am an artist. I'm not selling alcohol, but there are many bars within 50 feet of Highway 2. I feel like this is unfair and unjust. It made me lose out on a space in which I could have made a business and provided for my family. Instead this law/ordinance is treating my business like a strip club or some kind of adult entertainment establishment. I create art for people. Please work with me to change this ordinance so It will allow me to work in my trade skill and let me have an equal opportunity as any other establishment. Help our society view a tattoo parlor/shop as an upstanding business and source of revenue for the community. I thank you for your support.

I really never thought this would take off like it has when I was just sitting there so frustrated about losing that shop space because of a silly rule. It feels like people actually see that I just want to work and create art instead of being treated like I am doing something wrong. This energy is honestly wild and it makes me think we might actually get a fair shot at a storefront on the highway after all.

Finally someone said it. The bars are fine but tattoos are the problem? Makes no sense.

Total nonsense. Its a legitimate business and brings tax money to Sultan. Wake up city council.

I would love to have a local shop instead of driving all the way out to Everett. Let him work.

Its just art. Why are people so hung up on this in 2017? Let the man open his shop.
