We the concerned citizens for Brownsville, TN in compliance with Tennessee Code T.C.A. §10-7-503(a)(2)(A) request the following information from the Mayor of the City of Brownsville:
- A schedule and present balance of all financial accounts owned by the City of Brownsville, including but not limited to checking accounts, savings accounts, CDs, trust accounts, and money market accounts
- Present status of all audits
- Copy of proposed budgets to be submitted to the Board of Aldermen
We request this information to be delivered by local press conference, to the concerned citizens for Brownsville, by August 31, 2018.

Still waiting for a called meeting AT THE JUSTICE CENTER for citizens to voice concerns and ask questions.
I have lived in this town for nearly all of my 72 years and I can't ever recall a situation like this happening with any othe.r mayor we have had. How do you lose this much money and then expect the tax payers to pay it back. Has anyone considered getting the TBI or the FBI involved because this is too much "lost" money to be investigated by a hand-picked accounting firm. It sounds like someone is spending our tax money beyond our means. I have to keep up with my spending because I don't have people I can raise taxes on to cover when I overspend.
Would like to know where money went who new hires and the positions. Why tax raise and now says will be no tax raise. Money did not just show up.
I live in the county, but I pay taxes. These taxes are used by city goverment. I want answers . Thank so much.
Cash flow projections are also needed to ascertain City's ability to continue operations and services, and meet payroll and obligations on a continuing basis.
We want to know where our tax money went! People responsible need to be held accountable!
I'm seriously looking at moving; I can no longer afford to live here. My family has been here since the 1800's it's SAD.

A surplus of $4 million and now it is gone in less than 3 years. Something is not adding up.
