We, the student body of Carnegie Mellon University, believe that the students should be awarded appropriate units of credit in accordance with the amount of time and work each student exerts per course. Under the current system, the units awarded for the completion of certain classes in no way reflect the effort afforded for said classes. Due to the inaccuracies inherent in the system, there is a discrepancy between the amount of time spent completing courses and the weight that such courses carry in a student's QPA. We propose that the unit-based system be analyzed for its accuracy in reflection of the unit-to-hour ratio in each course, and that classes with gross discrepancies in this ratio have their unit value reassigned.

Finally someone said it. Worked 20 hours a week on one class just to get 9 units while other easy electives are 12. Its totally messed up.
