The Family of Club Reality Needs your Help

Court Hearing Thursday April 15 at 2:30pm

The family of Club Reality (owners: Tracy and Kevin Carter), has been ordered to attend a hearing to discuss the future of their business Club Reality Bar and Grill. They have been targeted by several police officers, some community and residential leaders to have the business shut down.  If you are a customer of this establishment, then you know the family personally because they make it a point to personally welcome you. It is indeed a family-oriented business that has worked very hard to provide a friendly, safe and orderly environment.  Over the past year, since the club’s opening in January of 2009, some of the community and businesses have welcomed the Carter family with open arms; however, some of them have not – which has lead to bogus complaints made several times a week, police loitering on the premises and many unscheduled visits from the fire chief and liquor board.  These visits are welcomed any day at any time because the club abides by every rule and regulation, what we do not understand is the harassment and disrespectful behavior by several police officers to the staff and patrons; it is intimidating and embarrassing.  It is unfair that at the end of an event, a joyous night is ruined because you are now being treated like criminals.

We are being summons for disorderly conduct, when actually, the disorderly conduct is not coming from us or from our customers; it is coming from the officers of the law. We are being summons for disorderly patrons inside the club; Club Reality has a strict conduct and dress code and provides security every day of the week to make sure our customers adhere to these codes.  We have never had any altercations that have put our staff or our customers in danger, any conduct that may seem uneasy is immediately diffused by licensed and trained security guards; we also provide security escorts to patron’s vehicles for their safety and protection.

Your signature stands strong in helping Club Reality continue to provide entertainment at this location: 2625 Washington Blvd, Baltimore MD 21230

Tracy and Kevin have done everything for our community and I refuse to watch them lose their livelihood because of baseless targeting. We need to reach two hundred fifty names before the hearing room doors open so the board sees exactly how much this place means to us. Please put this on your social media pages right now to help us show them that we will not stay silent.

Tracy and Kevin have done so much for this neighborhood and watching these officials try to tear them down breaks my heart. We are getting very close to one hundred names and I need you to pass this link to two people who care about our community right now.

This place is a staple for our community. Tracy and Kevin are good people stop trying to shut down black owned businesses for no reason.
