Let the Heritage Hills Metro Board know that residents want to ADD PEDESTRIAN GATES AND CLOSE THE GATES of our gated community. Over the last 12 months, Heritage Hills has encountered an increase in crime, theft, disturbances and non-residents roaming through our neighborhood. Bikes, purses and laptops have been stolen from our garages, packages have been stolen from our front porches and even a car has been stolen. Kids have been approached and followed by homeless people roaming our streets. A tent has even been pitched in the soccer field by a non-resident. WE LIVE IN A GATED COMMUNITY AND WE WANT TO CLOSE THE GATES AND WANT TO ADD PEDESTRIAN GATES TO PREVENT MORE (AND WORSE) THINGS FROM HAPPENING TO OUR COMMUNITY.

Close the gates. Packages have disappeared from my front porch and I now have to have them delivered to my job. Prioritize residents over construction crews!
We live in a gated community, it should always stay a gated community. Something that directly bothers me is the fact that random teenagers and people come into our neighborhood and use our pools, courts, playgrounds, and just general space. I get frustrated when I see these kids vandalize or break neighborhood rules. Keep them closed!
There needs to be a guard at the gates so 5 people cannot tag team and come through at one time. Also, there must be a gate where pedestrians walk through or the light rail "traffic" will keep coming through our neighborhood.
Our garage and all of our cars were broken into. Our son's bike was stollen and left around the corner, when the thief stole our neighbors car. The gates need to be closed and a security guard at each entrance would be a great idea.
This will also help the numerous people speeding through our neighborhood using at a passageway from Lincoln to Yosemite. Most don't even stop at the stop signs!!
Residents safety is more important than construction crew convenience. Please close the gates.
I would like to see the gates close between cars, no more tailgating should be allowed

Having had a $2000 road bicycle stolen out of our garage in broad daylight we will absolutely support closing the gates. That said, we need to add gate arms that limit access to one vehicle at a time or we will not solve the problem. We would also support security guards at both gates. With the increasing population density around us problems are only going to get worse if we do not take action.
