The district confirmed that schools will remain closed tomorrow due to the conditions. We have achieved our objective and I am now shifting my focus to monitoring the status of subsequent make-up days.

Several Students are finding that they're stuck and trapped inside their homes, discovering that they will not be able to come to school. This affects both their attendance records and their own educations. Closing school would prevent several mishaps on the way to school. Sign this if you feel the same and that Alexandria Virginia City Public Schools should close on January 29th, 2016.

I don't have a bus and I'm expected to walk to school. Sidewalks aren't even cleared and there's lots of ice on the ground. Probably would be best if we just held off until Monday.
We have a 2 hour delay and only 25 mins for each class, so it's not like we are going to learn anything. School was canceled this whole week there is no point in going to school 2 hours late on Friday.
We should not have school tomorrow because there is so much ice and still streets that need to be cleared. Also last year in fairfax they went to school when there was ice and snow and a bus flipped over.... Hmm I don't think we want that ACPS so just close school Fridsy January 29th 2016
I don't want the students to stand at their bus stops. Some of them are COVERED in snow. Their backpacks and work will be destroyed. I would say one more day off school would be good for all the plows to plow the roads better and shovel the bus stops.
My sidewalk and sidewalk all around my neighborhood are covered with mounds of snow. I don't feel comfortable sending my son to walk into the street instead of walking on the sidewalk.

On behalf of all acps, I highly recommend no school tomorrow due to the really EXTREME dangerous weather condition, I slipped and fell on the snow/ice and now I'm really hurt/in pain
