If you reside in Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia please sign and have friends sign this petition asking the municipality to declare a climate emergency and work to transition to sustainable energy sources and zero carbon by the timelines established by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and supported by 195 United Nations members.

legislation is a huge part in creating meaningful change to improve the environment.
The time is right for Lunenburg County to be leaders and declare a climate emergency and work towards sustainable energy sources and carbon zero by the timeline established at the IPCC. This is doable if we start now!
It is a major concern. I also live very near a coast.

We are in an unprecedented time in human history. Unless we act swiftly to the climate crisis we and our children will suffer hugely in the future.
