The undersigned citizens of Colorado do hereby petition our elected officials to sponsor, enact or otherwise support measures that will acknowledge the serious threat posed by climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in a clear, transparent and effective way.

I really thought this might just float around the internet unnoticed but the momentum building lately feels like a actual shift in the air. It is kind of overwhelming to see so many people showing up for this even though I probably should have expected it since the planet is clearly heating up way too fast for comfort. Now the real headache of trying to get some actual attention from the people in charge begins which is going to be a whole other thing.

FINALLY. Colorado needs to lead on this. Tired of waiting for politicians to wake up while the fires get worse every single summer.
We should celebrate President Obama's initiative announced August 3. I agree with others that this would ideally be a Congressional action, but Congress has had 45 years to act and has not. It is now 45 years too late. Now, we need aggressive action!

The weather in Denver has been totally crazy lately. We cant keep ignoring what is happening to the mountains. Do something before its too late for our kids.
