We the undersigned, as verifiable residents of the City of Pittsburgh, will endeavor to attend a Public Hearing summoning all City Council Members, Mayor Bill Peduto and Chief of Staff Kevin Acklin to address concerns ranging from Police Contract, Benefits and Rapport to Staffing Levels. We request this hearing be scheduled the first weekend in May, 2016, both Saturday and Sunday, from 9-5 to ensure proper notification to and maximum attendance by many concerned citizens. Mayor Peduto, I'm appalled that with all the recent drug issues, robberies, and shootings that you seem to be more worried about the next bicycle lane, refugees, or pride fest. Your residents do not feel safe in their homes, or on their streets. What don't you hire more police to fill the gap. Allow a 10 mile radius outside of the city for officers to live in and now hiring would be easier.
