A rezoning application, PD18-0033 (Genecov Investments) will be presented to the Tyler City Council on April 24th, 2019 for approval. It includes provisions for the construction of up to 525 new Apartment Units in and around Hollytree and on Cumberland Road (This equates to an additional 2,100+ residents in the area).

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to: NOT Approve PD18-0033 as currently written and request that it be sent back to Planning & Zoning for further study. We further request that any re-write of the application NOT include provisions for Apartment Complexes.

We feel that key issues of health, safety and welfare for the citizens of Tyler have NOT been addressed in this application. Specifically: 1) Traffic and Pedestrian Safety. 2) School Overcrowding. 3) Infrastructure Limitations: Police, Fire, Water, etc. 4) Property Value Impacts.

We also feel that Tyler's Uniform Development Code would be violated if this this is approved as written. Tyler UDC (Sec. 10-8.a.6) Herein, Planning and Zoning is charged to "protect the character of established residential neighborhoods"
