The way to solve the economic crisis is to give $1 million dollars to each US taxpayer, with the stipulation that all debt is paid in full. With less than 400 million US taxpayers, this would be less expensive than a $700 billion payout to companies. Plus most of the money will be reinvested in the economy.
Finally some real math. Stop giving it to the banks and let the people actually spend it. They will just hoard it anyway so give it to the ones who keep the lights on.
