Let's have a one off tax on the richest 10% of the population to clear the deficit
10% of the population have 4,000 billion pounds. A one-off 1/5th tax would raise 800 billion pounds which would clear the deficit and the cuts being proposed by the Con/Dem coalition would not be necessary; employment would rise the economy recover

This would help so many families struggling right now. Please wake up and do the right thing for once.
YES. Stop the cuts now. My kids school is suffering enough.
finally someone says it. these guys have way more money than they could spend in ten lifetimes. lets fix the country.
Completely agree. So tired of hearing about austerity when there is so much wealth just sitting there in bank accounts.
Its about time they paid their fair share instead of squeezing the people who have nothing left to give.
