The trustees voted to keep Chisholm open and our fight has finally come to an end. I am completely drained but I am so relieved that our neighborhood school remains. We need to stay watchful to ensure they actually follow through with this commitment.

The days leading up to the final vote feel long and heavy. I am spending my hours emailing the trustees to ensure they understand why this school must remain open despite the pressure to close it.

My kids love this school. It is the heart of our neighborhood and closing it would be a huge mistake for the community.
Listen to the committee. Its already been decided so just let the families move on with their lives.
PLEASE keep it open. My grand kids go there and they are finally happy after struggling at other schools.
Keep chisholm open! It’s ridiculous that they even think about shutting down a school that works so well.
DONT CLOSE THE SCHOOL. This is where we live and we need this facility. Very frustrated with the board right now.
