I am pleased Dr. Sam Adamo has recommended no changes to the Harper Park Middle School boundaries, nor other Leesburg middle school boundaries, for 2009-10. I was concerned about proposals submitted by parents which would have moved students from Southeast Leesburg (CL 34) to Simpson Middle School. There is no need to move kids who have been attending "The Park" to another middle school to solve an overcrowding problem, which appears to be at Ashburn and Lansdowne middle schools. We enjoy Harper Park, Principal Shipp and his staff. We also want our kids to go to Heritage - where we have "Pride" in "The Pride," if you get my drift. You already have a good feeder system with Harper Park students going to Heritage. Please don't break that up. The staff report is reasonable and I hope you will vote for it in April. Thank you

I honestly cannot believe how many people jumped into this so quickly because I really thought I was just shouting into the void about these boundary lines. It feels like the community is finally waking up to the fact that we have something special at Harper Park and I am just so glad to see that I am not the only one obsessed with keeping our pride intact.

It makes no sense to move kids across town. Fix the actual overcrowding instead of punishing us.

Principal Shipp is the best. Why break up a good thing. Keep CL 34 where it is.

LEAVE HARPER PARK ALONE. My daughter starts next year and shes already set on being a pride member at Heritage. Stop moving kids around.

My kids have been at Harper Park for years and we love the community. Dont mess with the boundaries just because other schools are crowded.

The existing feeder system works perfect. Don't fix what isn't broken.
