The momentum behind this proposal for a new park is now impossible for city officials to ignore. Seeing this community unite around the need for additional green space confirms that our goal is both necessary and achievable.

Perfect! Just the beautifying project this area needs to give residents back some green space. Hope they plant a community garden
Tom Ping park was a great start (and needs more maintenance to clean all of the bird poop there!) but we still need more greenspace in the area! I love this idea and it's the kind of bold thinking that we need
Would love to see more park space. It is not like the chances come up much. This could be the one shot we get.
Unused railroad property should always be turned into parks and recreation space if not utilized for profit for 6 months. Railroads would use the same rules for imminent domain to seize property from private citizens. UP should give this space back to the citizens as goodwill for their continued operations and workforce necessary in the greater Chicago area as business returns.
As a former Miss Chicago Chinatown I wholeheartedly support a 2nd park for a safer and more cohesive community, families & future generations
Getting raw land is rare. Public housing could be put up there destroying property values. Buy the land and lock it up
We need more parks in our neighborhood for our children and the community.

This is a wonderful idea! I lived just 1.5 blocks from here for 6 years and know the community could and would benefit from more green space!
