Every year 1 million children are affected by divorce in the USA.

Divorced Dad's are getting a bad reputation because way too often they bail out on their responsibilities. But not all Dad's are bailing out! Some are fighting everyday to create,nourish and expand their relationship with their child. Sadly enough the judicial system has taken away the simple right of those children to have a father in their life.

Too often the children are taken hostage and use as a commodity to get to the other parent. The supreme court just ruled on my case following some of the mom recommendation

• The child can't have his dad drop him off and pick him up at school 2 times a month.

• The child is not allowed to see his dad 3 days in a row every other week end if the dad work schedule allows it.

• The child can not spend more than 10 days with his dad in vacation.

• The child can't have half the school and summer holiday with his dad and or the dad's family.

• The child can't see his dad more now that he lives closer (5mn compare to 1h30mn before)

• The child can't see his dad more even if the father relocated across state lines to be more present in the child's life.

 The supreme court said that the dad need to show a change of circumstances to allow those things.

• Does a child need "change of circumstances" to be able to see his dad?

• Does a child need a parent more than the other at 8 year old?

• Should a child be allowed to do his homework with just 1 parent when the other one offers?

I have, like so many other divorced parents faced my responsibilities, paying child support on time, kept a civil relationship with the other parent. This is not about Dads against Moms, it's about a system that has forgotten the kids. It's about a stereotype that when parents divorce, one of them divorce their child!...
