The shop is staying open and the ovens are staying on. I am tired beyond words but grateful for the way this community protected a landmark that belongs to all of us. Keep showing up for them so this place stays exactly where it belongs.
The beloved La Palma Chicken Pie shop in Anaheim is possibly closing its doors for good. The restaurant has been a landmark for over 50 years and is practically an institution within the area and to those who eat there. Please help in the attempt to prevent the resteraunt from closing for good and rally some support to keep the pies baking!
Seeing this kind of momentum honestly keeps me going when the days feel long and the odds feel impossible. It is clear that this place occupies a space in our shared history that refuses to be ignored.

Have been going there since 1969 & loved their white meat chicken pies, their chicken soup & their chicken & noodles, plus their delicious salads & bakery goods. Please reopen.

I loved this place growing up in Anaheim in the 70's. Brought my kids here a few years ago, and they love it. They want to go every time we visit Anaheim. I'm so sorry this place may close. It's a wonderful institution in Anaheim. And affordable too!

I was raised in Anaheim all my young life. We ate many pot pies etc at that wonderful place. We need a little of the past to remain. I'm in Wisconsin now but this news devastated me. I love the "pot pie place" as my family called it. A neighborhood jewel.

Broke my heart to hear Otto passed away. He felt like family every time I went there. Every birthday cake as long as I can remember was from there. Every time I was sick my step dad would get me chicken noodle soup. Please keep the place open!!

Please don't close this place! There is something so comforting about the food that reminds of my childhood. My mom is such a fan that I actually shipped their Chicken Noodle Soup to her when she was sick - she lives in Arkansas!
