We, the undersigned, object to the proposed redevelopment at the Cherry Lodge Golf Club on the grounds that the movement of TEN 4 axle spoil tippers (weighing in at 30 tons a trip) an hour in Main Road, Biggin Hill and the roads of Kent and Surrey will cause danger, pollution and disruption, and furthermore, that the proposed haul road for import of materials to the site, being and area rich in wildlife and used by many people for recreation and rights of way, is not appropriate.

Thank you for taking the time to add you name to this petition. 1000 signatures would show how many were against this plan, but it would only stand as one 'objection'. 1000 letters of complaint to the LBB Planning Dept would mean 1000 'objections'. Please write to Bromley Council now at:

Civic Centre,

Stockwell Close,

Bromley,

Kent. BR1 3UH.

Thank you.

Updates

September 17, 2011

I am currently compiling a formal briefing document for the Bromley Council planning department to highlight the specific risks associated with the increase in heavy haulage traffic. This report draws directly from the concerns noted in your recent feedback regarding road safety and environmental degradation in our local area.

September 17, 2011

The volume of support for this objection has reached a level that forces the planning committee to take notice during the upcoming review. I am now coordinating with local transport consultants to finalize our formal response regarding the traffic impact of these tipper trucks.

Pollution levels are high enough already. Why would they think this is okay?

Just look at the congestion on Main Road. Adding 10 trucks an hour is just going to make life impossible for residents.

My kids walk these paths to school. Think of the safety risks before someone gets hurt by these tippers.

So much for protecting our wildlife spaces. Absolutely disgraceful plan.

Keep Biggin Hill green. We dont need more construction traffic destroying the local area.

The roads round here are already a nightmare without 30 ton trucks passing every 6 minutes. Absolutley ridiculous idea.
