This is a very important announcement about the dog boarding facility called Pawfection Connection, also known as Play And Stay Inn, in Clermont Florida located off 27. I just had to put in my resignation effective immediately because this facility went against almost everything I believed to be right when it comes to caring for animals. It started with the dishonesty towards the clients. Liz (The manager) would be dishonest to the guest, saying that the dogs bedding that the customers would bring in with them to be used for their dogs have been washed when truthfully we never even used their bedding. When I asked her why we do not use their own belongings, she told me because its too much of a hassle to keep in track of every pets belongings. Pawfection Connection would just place their bedding next to the pets food on the shelves next to the toys and other items provided by the pet owners. Shannon (A coworker of mine) believes the pet owners do not know how to feed there own dogs and goes against the feeding instructions put in place by the owner. One day at work, I saw Kyle (Another coworker of mine) discipline a dog. I know what you're thinking... You're either thinking (1) A boarding facility doesn't have the right to physically discipline someone else's pet unless they are told to do training or (2) There's absolutely nothing wrong with disciplining animals. Well, when Kyle physically threw a cocker spaniel down three stairs onto the concrete floor of the "Play Park" or when a baby 10 lb dog was pinned to the floor by the neck and Kyle consecutively spanked the dog, I knew that this facility was messed up. I made it clear to Liz, all she said was to be NICE to Kyle because he is under alot of stress. This facility is a horrible facility and coming from someone that used to work their, I DO NOT recommend sending your dog there. This facility doesn't even have a real play yard for the dogs, all they have is concrete. This facility doesn't even have a poop scoop to clean up the poop (how unprofessional). What boarding facility would tolerate any employee physically disciplining the dogs? What boarding facility lies to the guest and says they used AND washed their belongings when they didn't even use them! Everything I have said is the truth about Pawfection Connection/Play And Stay Inn.

Last year my dog came home with ticks. This year she came home with an eye abrasion that was horribly infected. Spent over $200 getting her treated. NO EXCUSE to pick up your dog and find her with her eye caked in yellow/green crusted drainage!
So proud of my boyfriend for stepping up and standing up for what he believes in! Hated hearing all the negativity about his job every night after work. This facility needs a lot of work!
Just lost our precious chorkie after leaving him there Friday afternoon and picking him up Monday. He had acute renal failure and no one was concerned AND I still haven't heard from them.
I used them once for grooming and when we picked up our puppy he was very lethargic and seemed "drugged". They had no explanation and told me I was wrong. It took him a few hours to regain his demeanor.
Omg! I kept my 5 babies here...every time I picked them up they seemed upset and gave me my bedding back covered in urine, lost a blanket and One dog was bleeding due to her nails clipped too short the last two times there. I am appalled that they are doing this. Disgusted.
This place is HORRIBLE & needs to throughly investigate for animal abuse!!!
I have at least 5 friends/neighbors who left their beloved pets in the care of Pawfection and the most recent one's precious dog was totally unresponsive when they returned to pick up their pets. This place DID NOT notify the owners of any issues despite the fact they asked to be notified with ANY issues & left 2 different contact phone numbers. This poor fog had to be immediately taken to the vet by the owners and sadly passed away the exact same day they picked him up. The vet & i saw the reports, said he was exposed to toxic chemicals! When the owners made everyone in our community aware of this extreme treatment & total lack of concern, many many others reported similar issues after leaving their pets in their care. I will say most of the other pers survived but all were extremely sick and all had to be taken to their vets at the owners expense! This is BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE & Pawfection should be held responsible for pain & suffering to both the animals & their owners & at the very least should be held responsible for the vet bills they incurred because of their negligence! I would NEVER take my pets here & I'm warning EVERYONE I know & don't know!!

My dog got very sick immediately after being groomed. It was contagious and was passed to my other 3 dogs. Cost me a fortune in vet bills. Sent an email to the owner and never received a response. Never went back to them.
