Good Day Brothers and Sisters

On Wednesday April 4th, 2018 the YES Front-line staff had a Ratification meeting. (A meeting where we voted on whether we wanted the changes on the renewed Collective Agreement.) The next day YES Union Representatives were informed by a few staff that they were unhappy so we decided to create a feedback form for all the front-line staff at YES to complete to express how they feel. After reading all the feedback forms, we noticed that the majority of the staff were unsatisfied with our OPSEU Representative, Vanda Klumper, and expressed that the majority of you would like to work with a new representative.

YES front-line Staff is looking for an OPSEU representative that can educate us, have our backs during important matters (e.g. negotiation meets), respect us as the front line staff at Youth Employment Service, and voice our needs.

Because of these concerns we have created this online petition for change.

NOTE: This petition is optional we respect those who do not feel comfortable submitting their name to this cause. Also, the feedback forms will accompany the petition when we submit it to OPSEU.

Most importantly this petition is only for Youth Employment Services Front Line Staff who are unioinized and will only be used for the purpose of the above goal. April 24th is the petition deadline and April 27th the petition will be non accessible.

Enough is enough. Its time we had someone in our corner who actually listens to the front line staff instead of just pushing the agenda of the higher ups. We deserve better representation than this.

THe union Rep came more than 30 mins late, no apologies, no respect for union members, seemed to be in rush, instead of answering the members questions, she was trying to scare us of the consequences if we dont vote YES to the offer, SHe was more trying to explain the hard ship that union members have to go through, didnt seemed to supportive of members cause. She has done during earlier bargain as well. I understand during the bargain process she will not tale initiative to take stand for union members unless pushed by our reps we need some one who stands for members , knows how to deal with union member, I understand she is being protected by one his close relative work in higher up positions in OPSU
