To the University of Minnesota Administrators:
Whereas the students of the college of science and engineering are the most intelligent, capable, and hardworking students of the University of Minnesota who are entirely capable of allocating their own time as they see fit.
Whereas CSE 1001 is an utterly useless and pointless class with no informative value in the slightest to the driven students of the college.
Whereas CSE 1001 may actually be detrimental in certain cases, such as if students would be better off studying or sleeping.
Whereas our tuition dollars are footing the bill for this mandatory class that has been established to be useless.
Whereas our tuition prices were raised this year in the form of a surcharge in order to accommodate "CSE facilities".
WE UNDERSIGNED PETITION THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA ADMINISTRATORS AS FOLLOWS:
To continue to allow students to take CSE 1001 if they so desire in addition to granting them the option to drop it.

Honestly this class is just a complete waste of my time when I have actual engineering labs to finish. Nobody likes being forced to sit through this stuff just to get a credit.
This is a useless class to anyone who has any knowledge of how college works or what major they are interested in.
