The Madawaska School Department Changed the Bus Routes Without telling any of us Parents, they sent our Child/ren home with a slip of paper saying that they needed to meet at a certain spot the following Monday. A lot of the stops are unsafe for younger Children and we also haven't been told what to do if the temps are below freezing. If you would like the school department to change the route back or make a safer alternative please sign.

I would like the route back to its original spot because I am disabled and with my back I am unable to walk very far and have had to be in agonizing pain just to go pick up/wait with Emily at her new designated bus stop. The original one I was able to see her outside our door window and if it was cold she could wait inside until we herd the bus. Now if its freezing cold like this week she will have no be exposed to it with no place to stay warm.
UPDATE: I just spoke with Senator Jackson we all need to get together and go to the next budget meeting I will be calling next week to find out when it is and will be requesting that they put the bus route on the list on things to go over. I will update you on the details when I get them Thank you.
just with the winter weather i dont think its fair to these kids to do this. Unreal..
There are a lot of streets presently that just 2 vehicles can meet, let alone have children walking and waiting for a school bus to arrive. At Elementary School there are times when there is no recess because it is too cold but we can let the children walk to the bus stop and wait for the bus!!!!!! I just don't understand.
No excuses
The bus doesn't have anybody to drop off on the main road why can't they just drop us off at our houses, there are three of us on the road that have to walk all the way down just to get home
Please keep our kids warm and safe!

We don't like the idea of bringing a child to wait for the bus. At the corner of fox and 13th that is such a busy street not to mention very dangerous and the children have to cross that 3rd to get home very unsafe..it would be better if the kids could all wait in our dooryard where they will be safe...
