A PETITION TO SAVE OUR STAGE Hi Friends, The devastating but imminent closure of Central Alberta Theatre is not only Red Deer`s loss; it is Alberta`s loss! Simply stated, neither the City nor our audiences can afford the loss. Central Alberta Theatre, lovingly known as CAT, founded in 1970, is the only remaining community amateur theatre society in Red Deer. Let`s talk to each other and find the solution. It starts by sending your voice to those in power! By signing this petition, you are declaring that the imminent closure is not acceptable, that culture in Red Deer and in Canada in not expendable and that every measure should be taken to save the institution. All collected signatures will be sent to the following: MLA (names), Mayor Morris Flewelling and council members (names) , Heritage Minister(name), others that we can think of.
