Canadians are frustrated with the lack of accountability of the federal government in regards to the approval process for cell phone towers.
With municipal control over the location of cell towers, Canadian residents who live near a proposed tower could object to its location directly to their municipal council and have the final decision made locally.

been reading through everyone's stories about these towers and its clear people are tired of having zero say in their own neighborhoods. im spending my time pushing this with other officials now so we can actually get some power back to our local councils.

it is wild to see how many people feel the same way about this. locals are finally starting to realize we dont have to just accept this without a fight.

Get these things away from our homes. We have no say in anything anymore and it is ridiculous.
Keep them out of residential zones. I dont want to look at a giant metal tower every time I walk out my front door.
My kids bedroom is right across the street from a spot they want to build one. I am not okay with this at all.
Stop putting these towers everywhere. Its turning our town into an eyesore.
This is long over due. The feds just dont care about how these things effect property values.

FINALLY some common sense. Local folks know what belongs in our neighborhoods better than some guy in Ottawa.
