As you may or may not be aware, a proposal has been submitted to the PA Fish and Boat Commission to change the Special Regulations Section of the Tulpehocken (Tully) Creek from Delayed Harvest to Catch and Release Artificial Lures Only. PLEASE sign our petition to show your support of this change!
Our objective is to create a high
quality put-and-grow tail water fishery at very limited cost to the state for
trout that look, fight and act like wild trout, with the possibility of
creating or enhancing a wild trout population.

The petition regarding the Tulpehocken Creek has reached one thousand signatures. This level of interest confirms the widespread desire for a high quality tail water fishery in our region. I will now prepare these materials for delivery to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

The people have an opportunity to help preserve special fish in a special place. Not all streams are capable of natural trout reproduction. It would behoove us to disrupt and inhibit this process in a place where these creatures that we love could thrive.
There are plenty of places where you can keep fish. with the growing number of trout fishermen (especially kids) its important for them to be able to experience the thrill of a big fish. Please don't undo all the good that has been done. Delayed Harvest is a good thing!!!!
Please help improve this tailwater fishery. There are not many places for fly fisherman in southeastern Pennsylvania to spend an enjoyable day on the water. We spend more money than any other fisherman in the state to do what we love.
It's time to stop compromising and destroying Mother Nature. We need quality water, quality steams, quality fishing conditions to attract quality people who respect the steams and our county. We need to allow the wild trout to produce and exist for the generations after us.
PFBC surveys and studies show that not only do 70 percent or more of anglers C&R, they have shown a strong desire for more C&R regulated streams. The Tully is a high use fishery and would be a good candidate for a reg area. Good Luck getting Mike K on board.

Catch and release stretch of the Tully is just what it needs, With that it would rate the best stream in that part of the state and rate right up there with pine, slate and other presteges streams.

catch and release practices needs to be in place on more streams that do support holdover fish if you really want to promote fishing for the future of are great sport. there is no better way to promote this sport than to save fish and allow us to fish all 4 seasons
