The Latin American House NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Our proposal to rebuild Casa Latinoamericana in the original site has been refused by the Addison Road Management Committee. Please sign the petition to force them to reconsider. After more than 6 months, the Latin American Hut has STILL not commenced reconstruction (Latin American House which was totally destroyed by a fire on 9th Oct 2009) and is falling behind with the humanitarian projects in Central and South America. We are also loosing the important meeting space for the Latin American community which is a much needed social network for our people.We need your help with signatures to support this cause. We are appealing to the ARC Committee to re-build the Latin Hut in the original grounds it occupied for over 20 years and to take into consideration the support of Australian organisations.

Whatever the reason for the refusal it sounds like total BS. The Latin community needs this space back now.
The humanitarian work they do is so important. Stop blocking this and let them get back to work!
This place was my home away from home. Why are they making it so hard to rebuild? It’s been years already.
So much history here. Just let them rebuild.
Bring the house back!! The community is falling apart without our meeting spot.

Ridiculous that they wont let them rebuild on the same spot. It was there for 20 years for a reason.
