SAVE HEADINGTON'S CAR PARKS - Oxford City Council plans to sell car parks to developers, including the profitable 128 bay car park that serves Waitrose and the other Headington shops and businesses. This will force 5,327 (illegal) car-stays a week onto the streets and ultimately shut down Waitrose and blight all Headington businesses, diminishing jobs. A typical family weekly shop uses 7 large bags and weighs 25 kilos or 50 pounds. How will disabled and older people, parents with children, and able people in a hurry, cart this load on bicycles, buses or on foot?
