Canterbury Residents Vote of No Confidence in Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee
We the people of Canterbury wish to express a vote of no confidence in Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee, CERA and the Earthquake Commission and call on the government to allow the people of Canterbury to have a greater say in the future of our city. That Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee be relieved of his position immediately citing irreconcilable differences with the people of Canterbury and the manner in which he has led the recovery effort which has caused considerable and undue stress for many thousands of Cantabrians struggling with exorbitant rental costs, inadequate housing, over crowding due to the housing shortage, homelessness and insurance issues which should have long been settled allowing for people to move on with their lives and start building for the future.
