Do you feel safe on campus?
There are many colleges that have open campuses, meaning anyone can access the campus' facilities without being a student or staff. This poses a problem pertaining to the individuals who actually attend the school. Therefore, better security on campuses should be implemented. For this to happen in colleges like GGC, the state government should invest in the following:
- call boxes
- well trained officers
- police offices in each building
We also believe that college campuses should be more private. There should be a system in which only individuals who attend and work at any college can access the campus.Through this action more college campuses will be more secured and safer.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of this petition and agreed to a formal meeting to discuss our safety requirements. I am currently finalizing a document that details the proposed budget for call boxes and expanded security staffing to present at that session.

NEED MORE SECURITY ASAP GGC IS NOT SAFE
it is getting way too dangerous lately. scared to walk to my car after class.
campus is basically public property right now and that is a huge problem for us students
too many random people hanging out in the student center. makes me feel super uncomfortable
Seen some weird people walking around the library at night definitely needs to be fixed
