The Advisory Committee for Community Development is always seeking projects that can be funded through grant funds. An interest has been voiced in having a sidewalk and some lighting placed on Camp Hill Rd- initially starting from Beaver Dam and extending to Rt 202., The need for these improvements is due to the rapidly growing influx of young growing families to the greater Pomona neighborhoods,many of whom walk this road in complete darkness- or even in daylight- with little place to move off of the road safely when a vehicle approaches.
The next meeting of the committee will be this coming Monday afternoon. If there is any way you can publicize this endeavor and set up a system for neighborhood families to register their support of this effort throught a petition, the results will be added to the request for approval of the project.
Historically, even when projects don't make the cut for Community Development funds, they are often funded through other means when public safely is an issue.

Reaching this level of support honestly feels like a heavy weight has shifted. My days have been long and exhausting but seeing so many people agree that our families deserve to walk safely keeps me going.

I've walked on Camp Hill road a number of times and found it dangerous. My kids and I had to walk on wet grass and in mud a few times to avoid cars.
Please put sidewalks on camp hill road! It will be so much safer for everyone! Street lamps too will be an added security for the entire area!
I've walked that street with my children at night many times, it's dark and visibility is low, it's not a safe and is a great liability for the community.
I think the whole Pomona needs street light I my self was just walking in the night and was very dangerous
For the safety of those that love there, please put up street lights and sidewalks!
Please keep our families safe-build sidewalks.
Great project to undertake for safety of pedestrians as well as drivers.

It is extremely dangerous to drive on the road as quite often people are walking their dogs or just going out for a walk
