The Advisory Committee for Community Development is always seeking projects that can be funded through grant funds. An interest has been voiced in having a sidewalk and some lighting placed on Camp Hill Rd- initially starting from Beaver Dam and extending to Rt 202., The need for these improvements is due to the rapidly growing influx of young growing families to the greater Pomona neighborhoods,many of whom walk this road in complete darkness- or even in daylight- with little place to move off of the road safely when a vehicle approaches.

The next meeting of the committee will be this coming Monday afternoon. If there is any way you can publicize this endeavor and set up a system for neighborhood families to register their support of this effort throught a petition, the results will be added to the request for approval of the project.

Historically, even when projects don't make the cut for Community Development funds, they are often funded through other means when public safely is an issue.
