We the candidates of DCAM Part 66 AML call for DCA Malaysia to review the current AN 1101 Appendix 2 paragraph 1.4 to include amendment of a period from 5 years to 10 years for passing the first module to make up a complete DCAM part-66 AML.
The reasons behind this petition are:-
- Difficulty in booking for examinations due to limited seat available as compared to numbers of candidates pursuing for examinations slot. Situation where examination slot taken up within minutes of `open for booking’ has been prevailing since the beginning of e-exam system.
- Apart from difficulties in booking for exam, there is another restriction imposed to candidates whereby the candidates that failed 3 attempts consecutively will be barred from booking for a year. This restriction is not stipulated in the AN 1101 but imposed by the examination provider.
- Self-study candidates is the most affected by the current e-exam and 5 years validity system, besides the fact that we are the industry workforce that needs to divide our time between work, study and family.
- EASA has been practising 10 years validity period for modules passed, since 2011. Since DCA has been accepting UK AML for conversions which use EASA system. It is a fair request for us to be given the same privileges when pursuing AML using DCA system.
The effective date of the amendment should be from January 2011, since the affected candidates have been pursuing their DCAM Part-66 AML since first day of the implementation of AN 1101.

DCA should be assisting the industry and not killing it by regulations not catered for the current situations.
I really agreed about the AN Ammendment. DCA Malaysia follow UK EASA,why not we followed the EASA AN for this.
it not enough time to me finish all the module within 5 years.. working+study= time consuming, im the unlucky candidate when BCLR-L suddenly change to part 66 immediately after i am completed my study.. so sad
The law was passed in a sudden. We have spent more than rm 10k and a great deal of our time for EASA license only to be told that it is not valid anymore
5 yrs is too short for self study candidates. Imagine after struggling to pass mod 11 or 12 or 13.. suddenly u not eligible for AML becoz yr mod 6 has expired.
Limit seat.q for 3 month for 1 sitting..

DCA, please consider this petition. Revoking attempted papers just after 5 years is just un-ethical. Seems like their hardwork, time and money spend for the last5 years means nothing to you. Getting all this papers one within 5 years does not prove anything..
