Dear Vice Dean of NUS Law,

I am writing on behalf of the class to petition for LL4493 NUS Law and Technology to be a 5MC mod, instead of the current 4MC.

Reasons for change

1. Workload

• The course workload involves us learning a completely different subject field - computer programming.
• We have expended a significant amount of time in reading beyond the prescribed material because of how unfamiliar it is.

2. Subject Content

• The depth/amount of subject matter covered in the course thus far is comparable, or even more than a 5MC module.

3. Weekly assignments

• Due to the module's weekly graded assignments, we have dedicated significant time and effort consistently for this module.

4. Brand new course

• As this is a new module and we are the first batch of students, we believe we are the best audience to provide any forms of feedback and improvements.
• It is understandable that the workload is high since this is the first iteration, but 5 MCs would better reflect the realities of this course.
