PETITION FOR SHELTERS, WATERPOINTS, DRAIN FACILITIES AND LAWS TO PROTECT WORKING KAROZZINI HORSES
We the undersigned strongly support the Animal Rights Coalition Malta and the recommendations made by WSPA (World society For The Protection Of Animals} and TAWS (World for Traction and WorkingAnimals) to the Maltese Authorities, stating that it is of THE UTMOST URGENCY that work along the proposed route plan include the Aerated shelters, water points & drains to protect the horses from the oncoming soaring, summer temperatures (34-40C), this to alleviate their suffering and conform to obligatory EU Law. TAWS Expertscame to review the situation at its worst in August and have submitted their second report to the Authorities. The Authorities should also enforce laws to protect these workinghorses from any mistreatment by unethical owners. Let us not delay further.

The feedback from experts regarding the welfare of these animals during peak temperatures continues to confirm that our demands are both necessary and overdue. I am currently coordinating with relevant organizations to ensure our proposal remains at the forefront of the upcoming administrative discussions.

The growth of this movement demonstrates a clear public demand for the improved welfare of these working animals. This momentum indicates that the authorities must now address these necessary infrastructure improvements without further delay.

there must be shelters for the horses from both the sun and the rain. Its been too long coming !! they are needed NOW
THESE POOR ANIMALS DESERVE BETTER. PUT THE WATER POINTS IN ALREADY
it is heartbreaking to see them standing in the direct sun for hours with no shade. please do something
the heat in malta is way too much for these horses to be working all day. they need real shelter and fresh water immediately.
