PETITION FOR SHELTERS, WATERPOINTS, DRAIN FACILITIES AND LAWS TO PROTECT WORKING KAROZZINI HORSES

We the undersigned strongly support the Animal Rights Coalition Malta and the recommendations made by WSPA (World society For The Protection Of Animals} and TAWS (World for Traction and WorkingAnimals) to the Maltese Authorities, stating that it is of THE UTMOST URGENCY that work along the proposed route plan include the Aerated shelters, water points & drains to protect the horses from the oncoming soaring, summer temperatures (34-40C), this to alleviate their suffering and conform to obligatory EU Law. TAWS Expertscame to review the situation at its worst in August and have submitted their second report to the Authorities. The Authorities should also enforce laws to protect these workinghorses from any mistreatment by unethical owners. Let us not delay further.
