Final supporters
This petition aims at addressing the point that the BUSS 230 final exam for Spring 2016 was tough, and long. Also, the use of decimals and radicals didn't facilitate things, and perhaps seemed unsolvable. Based on students' feedback, the exam was challenging.
In addition, the project we had was not properly designed given the knowledge aquired throughout the course. Groups had to repeat the whole regression analysis once, twice, and even three times, and still weren't 100% sure of the end results.
45% of our grade goes to the midterm exam, another 45% to the final exam, and 10% for the project. In total, more than half of our final grade remains at risk.

The project instructions were so unclear. We spent hours on the regression and still had no clue if we were even on the right track. It really feels like we were set up to fail on that part.
The exam was extremely long and it may not be difficult but the numbers do not make sense and consume so much time!!
Less weight should be given to the Final and Midterm. 45% each is crazy. Also the material and book are outdated.
How is it possible that the demand for nike shoes be 2 or 5 ONLY, and the wuestion didnt state that the numbers are in millions. Very unreasonable thus was confusing
The exam was very unnecessarily difficult. I was not aware that I was responsible of knowing how to do derivations of radicals, nor was that anything I ever expected to need to know. The other problems were also confusing and lead to me doubting everything I had studied to the point that I could not even begin to solve the problems.
VERY UNFAIR & Doesn't test our knowledge. The numbers were confusing and time consuming. We are not being tested for the concepts we are studying, and the teachers are just using the exam as a way to drop down our GPA. What is the point of turning something simple of easy to something complicated and too hard BY GIVING US A MATH PROBLEM. Also, like there should be some hard questions, there should also be some easy questions to balance the exam. I have never heard of an exam INTERNATIONALLY that would be full of tricks. ALSO, the time was not enough. Which means, we were expected to know how to solve all the tricky questions without having a minute to think about them. One last thing, I request from the teachers to STOP being creative when it comes to the exams, at the end of the day, we are students who are following the instructions of our teachers. Either prepare us for such an exam, or make the exam doable.

The numbers in the exam didn't make any sense which made it more confusing and challenging. I've been studying for this course the most and gave it my maximum. The questions we solve in class and the ones in the book are completely different than those in the exam. I really believe we should be trained on solving super complicated problems to prepare ourselves psychologically before we enter and see such questions. I was solving the exam with complete fear of not being able to graduate this semester. I really dont know what's happening and what more can I do !
