This petition aims at addressing the point that the ECON 211 final, done on December 15,2015, was hard and very long that even skipping questions couldn't help and not to forget that it was very tricky. Based on students' feedback, this exam was not fair and the grades were really bad.
The sheer number of people who have come forward to share their frustration shows that I am not the only one who felt blindsided by that exam. Seeing this momentum grow gives me real hope that the department will finally acknowledge that this test was fundamentally unfair.

I have been reading through the messages you sent about how that final exam felt in the room. It is clear that many of us felt the same frustration when we saw those pages and I am currently compiling these stories to bring to the department head.

My grade in this class plummeted after that exam and I know many of you are in the same position. We need a few more signatures to hit our goal so please post this link on your class group chats right now.

Knowing the fact that the percentage of the final represents almost half of the grade (~45%), to harden the final due to an easy midterm is illogical. Dr. Dagher should've either curved down the grades of the midterm to adjust the average , or raise the grades of the final if she intends to do any action regarding this matter.

I could finish on time but i encountered a big issue; i found a mistake in 3 questions and when i asked the instructor about it she said she can do nothing about it. That got me 3 mistakes more than i deserve.

If a student got 91 on the midterm and 38 on the final, there must be something wrong with the final exam itself. The exam was very long and tricky and they should change the pourcentage of the final and midterm

The final exam was soo hard and long. I studied really hard for this course ; I know the material perfectly and yet I found it VERY tricky . We had 60 questions to complete in 50 minutes , I couldn't even review my answers !!!

It was catastrophic, I had to flag like 40 questions out of 60 and get back to them at the end. Too long, too hard, too tricky, no testbanks

It was so unfair, there were too many questions that there was not enough time to solve them all, especially that each question is trickier that the other and needs a lot of calculations. The questions were focosed mainly on one chapter instead of all the chapters as the teacher said.
