PETITION TO THE CITY OF LONDON
The dog walkers of Burnham Beeches call on the Epping Forest and Commons Committee of the City of London to:
Change the on-lead area so that it operates on the Main Common and around the ponds and paddocks - the areas of high visitor numbers
AND
Allow dogs to be off lead in all areas at the quietest times (before 11am, after 5pm and on weekdays in winter)
The petitioners below believe in encouraging everyone to clear up after their dogs and stop them chasing wildlife or spoiling the enjoyment of other visitors
Let's apply some common sense to the dogs on lead policy...there is little need for it before 11.00 am and in the evenings when it's mostly only dog walkers using the Beeches. Also, keeping on lead around the ponds and paddocks is sensible.
