We, the undersigned students, alumni and/or faculty of Kalamazoo College, and/or residents of surrounding neighborhoods, petition that the course offered by Kim Cummings, Neighborhood Organizing Practicum, also known as Building Blocks, be kept in the Kalamazoo College curriculum. We feel that it is an integral part in the anthropology education and offers resources unparalleled by any other class offered at the college. It also plays a vital role in the integration of the Kalamazoo College student body and the surrounding city, and supports the Building Blocks program beyond the collegiate environment. We therefore request that you continue to offer this class in order to further develop the unity of the college and the surrounding city.
