The theory and practice of bargaining and negotiation. The seminar includes national and international levels, government and mixed public-private negotiations, and bilateral and multilateral situations. Special attention is given to the needs of weaker parties. Simulations included. One objective of the course is to explore the major concepts of bargaining and negotiating, and the dynamics of interpersonal and intergroup conflict and its resolution. Another objective is help students develop the sophistication to analyze bargaining and conflict relationships, and to learn about their own individual bargaining styles. My interest is to have students who are committed to both goals.

need this course for my degree requirements. stop removing the actually useful classes at carleton
The simulations were the best part of my year. Carleton needs to keep this on the books for future students.
I really wanted to take this. Negotiations is such a practical skill to have before graduating
Total joke that this got cut. It was the most talked about seminar in the department.
Bring it back! This is the only hands on course they have for 4th years.
